NaturaBelle was founded in 2015 by Yarkesha Carter, a Nurse a a mother of then 6 children. In May of 2015, after completing a "growth challenge" with her daughter, Yarkesha decided to BIG CHOP. The length of Yarkesha's hair on that morning was 26 inches. However, she struggled to maintain health due to the "hard water" content of her new city. She consulted with other naturals and did extensive research on hair and health. Her goal was to grow and maintain healthy hair for herself and her children. Being familiar with herbs and natural treatments, Yarkesha formulated a growth oil containing various oils infused with fenugreek. After broadening her knowledge of herbs and the science of "black hair" Yarkesha formulated a moisturizer that would sustain the intense weather of Oklahoma City. Since, countless of hours have been spent formulating an array of hair and skin products for family, friends, and clients.
